What is your cancellation policy?

Can I sign the waiver in advance?
Yes! We encourage you to fill out the waiver ahead of time.
What will the day consist of?
The camp day starts with warm up activities, camp safety/rules and obstacle introductions led by our expert ninja coaches. From there campers will learn and practice a variety of ninja obstacle skills, race style mini courses, learn to run parkour lines, and take part in some seriously fun ninja obstacle style camp games. There will be a lunch break at noon and breaks for water and snacks throughout the day.
What is the skill level required for camps?
Our camps are suitable for all skill levels! Whether your camper is a ninja newbie or a seasoned athlete, our camps are designed to accommodate all ability and fitness levels in a fun and engaging way.
How many coaches will there be?
We run our day camps with a ratio of 12 campers to 1 head coach, and have various assistant coaches that are supporting our head coaches throughout the camp depending on registration numbers.
What age groups are the children split into?
Children are split up into skill groups based on age and ability. Even though some parts of the camp are done in skill groups, other parts of the camp are done as an entire camp team!
How are you ensuring my child’s safety?
All of our coaches are first aid certified and have been trained on how to properly set up the equipment and safety matting for camps. All coaches communicate camp rules and obstacle safety demos at the beginning of camp to minimize the risk of any injuries.
Classes & Membership
Is there still a high performance program?
Yes, but it looks a bit different than what we’ve done previously, where all our high performance athletes trained together in the same time slot each week. As our training team continues to grow and more athletes develop towards the high performance level, we have needed to add capacity to our high performance program.
We also found that previously there was no single set of times that would work consistently for all of our high performance athletes. With our new format, you have the flexibility to choose the training times and number of classes per week that work best for your family! The more experienced / high performance athletes will be identified in each class and will train together in a group as well as be be paired with our more experienced coaching staff.
We’re doing it this way to allow for any athlete to reach this level if they’re capable, and not have classes confined to the same group of athletes, just because they had trained together in our high performance program in the past.
What equipment do I need to have?
A good pair of sneakers, gym clothing, and a water bottle is all the gear you need to practice ninja. We do offer Fitset Ninja apparel that you may purchase if you so choose.
What additional fees or costs can I expect throughout the year?
Athletes are responsible for their own competition registration fees and any travel expenses related to out of town competitions. Our in-class competition style course races are free for all team members.
Do classes run on stat holidays?
No, classes do not run on statutory holidays.
However, if your regular class falls on a statutory holiday, you’ll receive your choice of:
- One Open Gym pass, or
- One Race Night registration
Log it under the Class Absences within one week of the missed class/holiday using our Membership Management Portal. These credits can be saved up with no expiry and are fully transferable.
Can I pause my membership?
Yes, you can pause your membership for up to 3 months per calendar year. A fee of $35+GST per month per athlete will apply for any month paused. If the pause request is submitted late, an additional admin fee will be charged. Please note that membership cannot be paused for the current month once the 1st of the month has passed, but you can pause for the 1st of the following month if notice is given before the last 7 days of the current month. Pause requests must be sent via the Membership Management Portal.
Any membership requests received during the final 7 days of the month will incur a $25 administration fee.
Are there any make-up classes if I miss a class?
Yes! For every missed class, you’ll receive your choice of:
- One Open Gym pass, or
- One Race Night registration
These makeup credits:
- Can be saved up with no expiry
- Are fully transferable to friends and family
- Will also be provided if your regular class falls on a statutory holiday
How to mark an absence:
- Log the absence within one week of the missed class using our Membership Management Portal.
- Once logged, you’ll receive a code for your Open Gym or Race Night credit.
This applies to our regular training team classes (not our competitive team).
Can I add or remove a class, or switch to a different class?
Yes you can, but any changes to your membership must be made prior to the last 7 days of the current month. These changes will take effect starting on the 1st of the following month. Change requests must be sent via the Membership Management Portal or email to hello@fitsetninja.com.
Please note that our classes have capacity limits and we therefore cannot guarantee your spot in a new class. The more notice given, the higher the chance that a spot will be available.
Any membership requests received during the final 7 days of the month will incur a $25 administration fee.
What if being a ninja is not right for me? What is the cancellation policy?
We offer our classes as a month-to-month commitment. Your registration includes a 2-week money-back guarantee from the date of your first class. If you decide Fitset Ninja is not right for you within those first 2 weeks, you will receive a refund for all remaining classes that you’ve paid for.
After the initial 2-week period, you can use the Membership Management Portal to initiate a cancellation prior to the last 7 days of the current month. Your classes will continue until the end of the month. No refunds or credit will be issued for any classes you choose not to attend during the remainder of the month.
Any membership requests received during the final 7 days of the month will incur a $25+GST administration fee.
How does Ninja Class billing work?
Once registered, you’ll be billed automatically on the 1st of every month*. No need to re-register each month. After your first 2 weeks of classes, we have a cancellation policy. Please note that no classes will run on statutory holidays.
*If you have credit on file from a previous Ninja Class season, the credit will automatically be applied to the first monthly payment(s).
Competition
What is a Ninja Competition?
A ninja competition is an event that is hosted by a Ninja gym. The host gym designs courses for participants. Courses are a series of obstacles in succession. Athletes receive points based on how many obstacles they successfully complete within the course time limit.
Competition courses are designed to test athletes’ balance, strength and speed. The goal is to successfully complete the most obstacles in the quickest time. Competitions are an amazing chance for athletes to test the skills that they have learned in a structured environment, have fun or advance to future competitions.
Competitions have different registration requirements. Many are open to all interested participants! When an athlete registers for a competition, they will be required to select their appropriate age and sex group. Prior to the competition, the host gym will provide a run order for registered athletes. This indicates when your athlete’s group runs, and when their specific event will be.
What are the Fitset Ninja Hosted Competitions?
Our Edmonton and Calgary facilities both host competitions throughout the year.
Fitset Ninja hosts competitions on behalf of the Canadian Ninja League (CNL), the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA), and the Federation of International Ninja Athletics (FINA).
Our competition schedule is designed to give athletes the opportunity to qualify for finals in each of these leagues.
CNL vs. UNAA vs. FINA: League Differences
Major Competitions in Canada
- CNL is the governing body in Canada for Ninja. CNL hosts the Canadian Nationals and defines the rules that most competitions in Canada run under. From CNL Nationals, you may be eligible to qualify for a world’s event run by the National Ninja League (NNL) in the United States.
- UNAA hosts national-level events in Canada and also connects athletes to international competitions.
- FINA hosts competitions in Canada as part of its international circuit, giving Canadian athletes opportunities to compete at global-level events.
Age Category
All three leagues — CNL, UNAA, and FINA — base the athlete’s age category on the athlete’s age as of January 1st of the current year.
